Center Valley, Pa. - One hundred and thirty-four student-athletes were named to the 2008 Patriot League Men's Track and Field Academic Honor Roll, announced Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich Wednesday. Army's Michael Simmons and Navy's Gavin MacGarva both achieved GPAs of 4.0 or better for the spring semester.

Army's Kevin Kumlien was named to the Academic Honor Roll as well, following up his designation as the 2008 Patriot League Men's Outdoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Kumlien is a rising senior management major who recorded a 3.85 spring grade-point average.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's 16 winter or spring championship sports. The criteria for awarding varsity letters are different at each institution.
