7/2/08 Twenty named to PL Academic Honor Rolls Lehigh placed a total of 20 student-athletes on the 2008 Patriot League Track and Field Academic Honor Roll, which were announced on Wednesday. Juniors Theresa Fromm and Allison Grese led the Mountain Hawk women with identical 3.94 grade point averages, while Freshman Mike Lowrie paced the Lehigh men with a 3.72 GPA in the College of Business and Economics. 7/1/08 Mountain Hawks place 18 on Academic Honor Roll Lehigh placed a total of 18 student-athletes on the Patriot League's Academic Honor Roll for men's and women's swimming and diving, announced by the league on Tuesday. Senior Calvin John Smiley led the way for the Mountain Hawks, as he was one of 18 student-athletes to earn a 4.0 grade point average in the spring semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete must obtain at least a 3.2 GPA and earn a varsity letter in his or her sport. MORE [+]

6/26/08 Three Mountain Hawks earn Arthur Ashe Awards A trio of Lehigh student-athletes was recently recognized as recipients of the 2008 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar Award, including swimmers CalvinJohn Smiley and Anne Rodriguez and Marquis Hall from the men's basketball program. The award is given to student-athletes of color who exemplify high standards in academics, athletics, and service to the community. The winners must meet the following criteria: have completed one full academic year at their respective institutions, earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher, be an active member of an intercollegiate athletic team, and demonstrated a record of campus or community service.
